Local Organization Partners with Bojangles to Help Reduce Underage Drinking

Take the Pledge with a Parent or Guardian to be Entered to Win Big at Bojangles!

Talk It Out NC is excited to announce a collaboration with another North Carolina-based company, Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits! By Taking the Pledge, parents and teens take a firm stance against underage drinking, and in the process, are entered into a contest for a chance to win a $50 Bojangles Gift Card. From everyone who elects to Take the Pledge, two winners will be drawn randomly each week for 10 weeks, with submissions opening June 3, and closing with the final drawing, on August 9.

Partnering with Bojangles for this limited-time contest, Talk It Out NC is committed to reducing and preventing underage drinking in North Carolina, through education, conversation, and empowerment. The Talk It Out NC campaign was launched in 2014 by the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission as an effort to combat underage drinking by undertaking relevant research, spreading education about alcohol’s health risks, raising awareness of the wealth of tools and resources available to parents and teens, both in person and online, and engaging parents in conversations with their children.

“We are always looking for ideas to help families spark their conversations about alcohol,” said Jeff Strickland, Programs Coordinator for Talk It Out. “So we decided to collaborate with a beloved North Carolina brand to offer an extra incentive to take the first step and start this important conversation about the dangers of underage drinking.”

Running from June 3 to August 9, parents and teens are urged to Take the Pledge on Talk It Out NC’s website for a chance to be one of the two chosen winners picked every Friday, for the 10-week duration of the contest. Together with collaborative brands, like Bojangles’, Talk It Out aims to combat underage drinking through awareness , education, and engagement, and with your help, their mission gets one step closer to reality, while you have the chance to get free southern-style chicken.
