Mark Pilon began working in the alcohol abuse prevention field more than a decade ago while working with the North Carolina National Guard Counterdrug Task Force. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Coalition for a Safe and Drug Free Swain County. He is an ardent supporter of collaboration in the southwestern region, and knows the tools Talk it Out NC provides are valid and relevant for guardians, schools, and other community organizations. As a Talk it Out NC Ambassador, Mark helps to raise awareness among North Carolina families about the risks and harms of underage drinking, encouraging adults to have conversations with youth — because doing so can positively impact the choices of young people and help prevent underage drinking.
