Title: Red Ribbon Campaign

Description: The Red Ribbon Campaign is the largest drug prevention campaign in the U.S. For a week students in Cherokee County Schools receive drug prevention messages, presentations and participate in activities educating them on the harmful effects of alcohol and drugs.

Why This Project Was Chosen: We chose the Hinton Center to receive alcohol education funds because of their outstanding reputation in the community and region, as well as our desire to participate in their drug coalition program.

Who This Project Impacted: The Red Ribbon Campaign reaches approximately 2,500 students every day for a week, including sending educational items home for their parents.

Results of Project: The Hinton Center was able to provide Red Ribbon supplies for all 14 elementary and middle schools in Cherokee County and provided a motivational speaker to all middle school students
